Mia’s pov

Once again, he had refrained from telling me where it was that we were going to, and I was almost tempted to scream at him as I watched him slowly climb down the stairs to asked him if he’d die should he actually tell me where it was that we were going to tonight.

If I had felt like asking him how his wound was fairing, the urge to do that was already out the window at this point.

With an irritated huff, I whirled around and made my way into my bedroom, slamming the door close and sinking down behind it. I contemplated on what I could possibly dress up in, in an hour's time and then I let out a long sigh because nothing came to mind.

After about ten minutes of still being seated against the door, I reluctantly pulled myself up in order to go get ready, because I remembered that he had asked me to not keep him waiting, which means he’d definitely not be pleased should I delay him at all.
