"They are here," Martha said.

Together, Connor and Annah made their way out of the room and towards the hallway that led into the living room. It was from there that they would welcome Annah's uncle. With every minute that passed, Annah was becoming increasingly worried because she didn't know how this would turn out. Her uncle could be vengeful when he wanted to be and she knew without any doubt that this had to be one of the moments.

Uncle Matt's arrival at the opulent mansion was met with an air of tension that hung thick in the large halls. Annah had told him about her relationship with the billionaire before, but this was his first visit to see it for himself. As he walked through the grand foyer, adorned with priceless art and lavish furnishings, Matt couldn't help but feel out of place.
