"Connor, I need to tell you something." Kelvin gasped.

Even as he gasped, blood dribbled down his face. He was a sorry sight and Connor knew that there wasn't going to be any redemption for him. It was one thing to suffer injuries and another thing to be at the point of death and in Kelvins' situation, Connor knew that Kelvin was at the point of death.

"Speak before I finally take the last life from you." Connor seethed.

Even his men could see that Connor wasn't joking at all. He had finally reached his breaking point and there was no going back. There was so much patience you could give to someone you once loved but as it stood, Connor didn't have anymore patience to dish out.

Kelvin's body convulsed with pain, and his breaths were labored and shallow. His face contorted with agony as he gathered the strength to speak through the blood that trickled from his mouth. Connor, his friend, knelt beside him, a mixture of concern and fear etched on his face.

"In pain... almost...
