“James, what are you doing here?” I asked, slipping through the barrier of six foot beefy bodies and stood next to Nikolai.
Nikolai instinctively moved me behind him. The two of them were still staring each other down like in some sort of contest. James is older than Nikolai but Nikolai looked more intimidating than him.
“Look at you trying to protect her from her own real brother.” James says, emphasizing the word real, as if to taunt Nikolai. Yeah, I know, he’s really got a talent for pissing off people.

As if they were always there, waiting for you when you were away. The endless branching corridors and circular nursing stations look like the endless labyrinth.
