67. Raging Lucia

Linda sat in the sedan, beside Luca who had his head down and hands holding tight to the steering wheel.

She spoke no word and instead, focused her gaze on the road because this is never the best time to talk.

He soon starts the ignition of the vehicle and drove off silently.

They arrived at the hospital in no time and that was when he finally spoke, "We have this rule in our family. No hurting of innocent women and children during mafia operations. I've punished others for breaking the rule, meanwhile, I have gone against the rule countless times"

"I've hurt women when I eliminate their husbands and I've hurt children when I turn them, orphans. Isn't that breaking the rule? Maybe I don't have to slit people to hurt them. I guess I'm born to be the badman"

He paused and turned his face to her, "I might have light and darkness as you claim but, my darkness would always overshadow the light"
