83. Nothing Ever Happened

Luca remained motionless in the river for minutes with entangled thoughts.

He did not shed a single tear as a part of him already predicted she to reject him.

Maybe he was wrong to make the move now, but, for how long would he wait before a perfect time comes?

Now, things were going to change between them.

She probably won't see him the same way anymore. Fvck!

He eventually got the courage to let go of the thoughts and find his way out of the waters.

He climbed up the cliff rock until he got to the top and tried to roll over when a piece of the rock broke causing him to lose balance and fall but a hand caught him.

Luca raised his head to see her luminous blue eyes glaring widely at him.

She raised him with ease and he rolled over to see her take a few steps from him.

"Linda...?" He had difficulty believing she had stayed up here instead of leaving.

Could she be shy and that was the reason she left?

He staggered to his feet without breaking eye contact with her, "Linda, I--"

"Don't!"
