Chapter Twenty-Four Yours
"Are you?"Axon says as he stares directly at the trash where the pregnancy test lies.
Staring at the toilet, wishing I weren't here, I avoid his gaze. I can't believe this is happening to me. Heck, I even laughed at my Mamma when she accused me of being pregnant. Stupid birth control.
"Tati, please answer me; I'm not mad."
Why can't he leave? Doesn't he sense how embarrassing this is? I still can't figure out why my birth controls failed me. Crap! Stupid antibiotic. I was sick right before we did the deed, so I had to take antibiotics. I forgot all about it canceling out my birth control.
