CHAPTER 46

I looked at Hansel and the rest before knocking on the door. As I knocked twice, I twisted it. The room welcomes me with silence and a peaceful night. There are dim lights on the ceiling.

I closed the door lightly afraid that I'll disturb the peaceful sleep of my daughter. On her crib's left side, I saw Grey who is sleeping on his chair.

Although, the chair was customized to use it for sleeping. I took a deep breath, and approach him to poke his right cheek. He shoved my finger away and so I repeat it.

His right eye opens slightly, and he looks surprised by my appearance. He gulped and shook his head. "Hello, Grey," I greeted him without a smile.

He looks at me with a nervous smile. "T-Thalia, let me explain carefully," he immediately said. He knows his fault and so it must be.

"I hate what you did, Grey," I said as I sit down on another chair beside him. I crossed my arms above my chest. "You betrayed me instantly," I added.
