Chapter 82: Vulnerable

The walk back to their room took no time at all, and once the door closed behind them, Callie was pulled into Vin’s arms.

His kisses were soft and gentle. There was none of the aggression and urgency of their time earlier.

“Vin?” Callie whispered, pleased but worry seeped through her emotions. “Is everything alright?”

Vin smiled, “How about a bath, Songbird?”

Though surprised, Callie didn’t have a chance to voice it out for Vin had begun to guide her through their hotel room and into their lavish bathroom.

With a kiss to her forehead, Vin left Callie’s side for a moment to draw a bath, filling up the bathtub with hot water and bath salts to help them both relax.

Vin’s words were an order, but there was no bite to them. He simply wanted Callie to sit and be comfortable on the soft vanity chair located at the other end of the bathroom.
