Chapter 31: Sleep for now, baby

"I'm... sorry," I said, embarrassed. I opened my mouth to speak but there were no words coming out from my mouth. I pressed my lips nervously and glanced at Khein who wasn't by any means mad at my actions. As a matter of fact, he was even smiling and silently encouraging me to go on.

I felt like crying.

In moments like this, I feel more vulnerable. The fact that he's introducing me to the people who are important to him, it made me feel special, and somewhat... important.

I felt his hand squeezed me on my waist very gently. "Go on," he mouthed to me, and like magic, it gave me the courage to continue
