Chapter 16

After I slammed the door, I just moved away from and collapsed on the floor, slowly letting tears fall. I waited for Liam to come into 'my' room and yell at me more. But he never barged in. I didn't like the way he spoke to me. It reminded me far too much of how Tom used to treat me. When he asked if I'd give Tom another chance, he was definitely out of line.

Instead of taking me shopping today, he took me out the next day, we bought so much. I told him I didn't need so much. But he just said buy what you want, and then we will leave. That's all he said to me that day. When we got back, the whole closet was filled. Not one spot was empty.

Two months later.

A month and a half ago, Liam and I made a deal. Whenever I wanted to get out of my room, someone would follow me. But even when I was in my room, someone was always posted outside my door.

So today I'm going to explore the house a little bit.
