Hazel’s POV

The question was more shocking than I’d expected it to be, my heart skipped a beat and for a moment I could’ve sworn that I froze.

Clenching my fist in anger and closing my eyes in frustration, I turned to look at the man I once loved. I still love him now but I can’t let him know that.

He doesn’t look like the Damian I know, Alesha was right when she said he was miserable because he looked like it. His lips weren’t as beautiful looking as I remembered but weirdly they still called out to me.

He staggered and I saw Isaac help him but stopped after he said something to him. He looked really sick and as though he was keeping a secret.

“No,” I answered firmly as I turned to move closer to him as I looked at him, “Asher is not your son.” I added as I stopped to stand in front of him.

“And I’m telling you for the last time,” I continued with my index finger pointing at him, “stop bothering us.” I added.
