“If you are asking if your father knew before our marriage that you and your brother are of his blood, then I will say no, I don’t think so. I don’t think he was aware we meant more than what we were to him.” Trying to keep my feelings and resentment out of my voice, I replied as simply as I could.

“And now? Does he know?” This quietly asked question was from my son and I was silent for so long, even I was not sure I would answer. But do I have a choice now, seeing as how they are anxiously waiting for the answer?

“Yes, just before I ran away with you the other day, I blurted it out and there is no doubt that he now knows you are his children.” I murmured softly with a loud sigh and the satisfactory glint that came to my children’s eyes almost got me screeching into the woods.

Could this mean they are happy to have that man as their father? And if this is true, what will that do to my plans? Will they insist he should be a part of their lives? And if then, how the hell am I sup
