EMILY'S POV.

3rd September. Friday.

"My wife complained about you guys being up to something, but I never would have thought what it was. It's very risky for you guys to be involved." He told us.

I shook my head at him. "We've gone too far to back out, Leonard. Your dad needs to answer to justice."

He nodded. "I know."

"You never knew your dad, but how did you know about his business?" Phoebe asked.

He chuckled in disgust. "Marrying Alexa wasn't my wish. My dad used someone against me to bench me."

I and Phoebe glanced at each other at the information.

"Who?" I asked.

"My mom." He dropped.

My eyes widened. "Your mom?"

He nodded. "My mom is in his hands, so I had no choice, but to comply with him. Although, I don't regret it now."

I smiled. "That's good to know, so what's your plan?"

"Well, my plans involve you since you're a detective."

I furrowed my brows in confusion. "What do you mean?"

"I've told you everything already, but my dad being a syndicate leader is what we are going to u
