Chapter 5 - The Marriage Issue (3)

"So i was thinking, the marriage should be done in 10 days time" Dominic said

"10 days!! but that's too soon there won't be enough time for the preparations and i also don't want to rush joan because she might not agree and object so i wanted to have more time to convince her and I can't do that in just the space of 10 days" Mr Felix replied in a worried tone.

"I know felix that's why i called you and I'm telling you before hand, i know you very well and I trust that you'll be able to convince her in just a day, you know you're very good at convincing people so i know you can do it because she won't be able to resist wnd eventually end up accepting to get married" Mr Dominic said trying to cheer him up.

"I know I have good convincing skills Dominic but you don't understand joan is ome hell of a though amd stubborn girl and it will definitely take some days to convince her, but since i have only 10 days, I'll try and see what i can do. I just hope my skills work this time around"

"I know it will work, you're her dad and I know you definitely have some ways of convincing her, so when she agrees just give me a call and I'll order for the marriage preparations to start." Dominic said sounding a bit relieved.

"Okay sure and have some rest don't stress too much over this marriage thing okay"

"Okay I'll take your advice, but please try your possible best to convince her "

"Okay i will"

"Okay then I'll be expecting your call very soon".

"No problem" Mr Felix said hanging up.

He sighed and went to sit on the bed thinking about the phone call that he just had with dominic.

"I'm sorry joan if this is all too soon and might be too much for you to handle, but i have to fulfil the promise i made years back at least that's the only way i can repay them back for what they did" Mr Felix thought while contemplating what next to do. He decided to call his wife and tell her about the marriage.
