Chapter 74 Someone Will Do the Dirty Job

Elizabeth couldn't remember when the meeting had ended or how she had made her way back to her office. Alone in her chair, she gazed at the hurriedly jotted meeting minutes in her notebook, her mind in turmoil.

She had been by Liam's side for so many years, yearning for his divorce from Gwyneth. During those days, she would daydream incessantly about how Liam would propose to her. However, Gwyneth, the woman whom Liam had never previously displayed any interest in, had now become a thorn in her side. Elizabeth had naively believed that erasing the digital traces of that fire and gradually distancing Gwyneth from Liam would suffice. Yet now, she realized her folly.

Biting her lip, Elizabeth hesitated before finally grabbing her phone and dialing a number.

"Hi, Kingsley."

The other end of the line fell into a brief silence, soon followed by an enthusiastic voice. "Elizabeth? Is that really you? Why the sudden call?"
