Chapter 12: What Is The News? Alpha King Caspian's POV: My mind was racing before I decided to walk around the corner to where I could get a good look at the condition she was in. I did have to admit it. I was not expecting to see her lying there like that when I finally managed to walk around the corner. When I was stopped, standing in full view of the bed, I happened to notice there was a heart monitor, an oxygen machine, and an intravenous drip next to her bed. She had a small mask over her face where she was being given oxygen, which I no doubt knew that she needed. I also noticed the different intravenous bags hanging there that were connected to her left arm, which were giving her vital fluids. There is no telling the last time she got the proper nutrients from a meal, which I am certain is why she was seriously lacking due to her frail condition. I wanted to make sure what she was being given. So I walked over closer to the bags, noticing there were several bags were lightly
Chapter 13: This Can Not Be True!? Alpha King Caspian's POV: I was going to have to take things extremely slow with her. This would allow her to become accustomed to the new life in which she would soon partake. When I finally reached the door, I grabbed the handle ever-so-gently, opened it up, walked out, and then closed the door behind me. The doctor was standing there waiting patiently with the usual clipboard in her hand, like her character. "Oh thank you so much for seeing me, Your Highness," the doctor said as I closed the door. I was thankful for the fact she spoke in a lower tone than usual. I appreciated it, considering we were standing right outside the door to my suite. Considering that fact, she was a woman doctor and knew a bit more about common courtesy than a usual man might in her particular position. I do have to admit when we first came here and found there was a female doctor, I was not too fond of the particular idea. I had grown up knowing a male doctor in this
Chapter 14: Who Comes to Join Us?Sentinel Trevor's POV:This is really turning out to be a pretty nice day so far. It is not all that often we get a chance to have newcomers come to stay with us here. However, on those days, we get in a bit of an uproar at the opportunity to use that as a teaching lesson. The new lesson stands to be taught to the ones who are already in our company, as well as the newcomers themselves. At first, I did not think anything of the vehicle that was pulling up to the front gate, as that was an everyday occurrence. It was not until I heard my name being called out that I knew we had some very special arrivals going to be joining The Company. If there is one thing I would like to teach the members of The Company, it is that everything has its proper name. There is no exception for anything, and that even includes the place where they are now located. The newcomers that come to us every now and then, will come to like The Company as this place has no escape. M
Chapter 15: Look What We Have Here? Sentinel Trevor's POV: I wanted to be able to allow the other pack members to return to their duties further on down the road. Now that they were both standing in front of me, I decided to continue with my warming welcome speech. "I am pleased you both have decided to gracefully grace us with your presence here at The Company," I said in a very pleasant tone of voice. I turned around and walked over to the fence, starting to walk up and down it a bit before I spoke again. I turned to walk back toward them, so there was no mistake in what I said before we all entered through the passenger gate together. This was most likely to be the first and only time newcomers ever get to enter through this gate. Most of the members here, well, are here for life. That is, until they are killed by other members already here due to previous altercations that happened before their arrival. The other possibility could be that, they might die of unforeseen causes. O
Chapter 16: What Is Happening Now? Alpha King Caspian's POV: I was having a hard time dealing with all the different bad news reports coming in about our newly found Mate. The fact that she was almost poisoned to death almost made me lose my own self-control. The information about the silver nitrate found in her delicate little body was almost too much for me to bare. Even though I didn't want to admit it to myself, Cash knew it too. At that point, I almost couldn't contain myself anymore. With all of this, I didn't want to think about the reciprocations of the side effects of this one chemical compound when it came in contact with a werewolf's blood. I was surprised I even made it to the safety floor in this facility. That is, in order to allow Cash to do what he does best. Or more importantly, in this instance, blow off a little steam and frustration according to the current information we were previously given about our wonderful Mate. I have to admit it was extremely difficult h
Chapter 17: I Feared The Worst Alpha King Caspian's POV: While he continued to sit there on the floor in front of us, Cash was still tall enough that even with him sitting, he still towered over Maxwell. After a moment, Cash decided to lay down in front of Maxwell with his head placed firmly on his forepaws and did so with a bit of a whimper. It was not that common to hear Cash let out a whimper unless he was hurt, but this was certainly a different kind of pain, one I was very familiar with. "I understand the pain that you're in, Cash," Maxwell said, as he started to take off my suit jacket. Cash lifted his head as he was paying close attention to what Maxwell was doing and watched his every move. I watched all of this going on and wondered what Maxwell was doing, up until he laid my suit jacket over Cash's forepaws. I felt sorrow for Cash when he finally laid his head down on my suit jacket, all so he could be closer to the scent of our Mate. After a moment, Maxwell started speak
Chapter 18: What Will Happen Now?! Alpha King Caspian's POV: As we all entered the room, I held my breath as I closely followed and watched the doctor and a few other Aides who went ahead of me. I did not know what situation we were going to find when we all got in there. The first issue I knew was her heart rate was dangerously high. What that meant exactly, I was not sure of as my heart raced all the time according to my job which required skills and quick thinking. However, I knew I have always had a strong heart. So the fact that her heart was spiking dangerously high meant that they would have to do something medically to intervene so this issue did not happen again. I hope that whatever they needed to do would help save her life as I could not stand to lose her. I did not want to intervene in their trying to save the life of our Mate, so I decided to stand back and wait to see what happened. However, when we all walked around the corner, the last thing I expected to see was ou
Chapter 19: Will We Leave Today? Alpha King Caspian's POV: I wondered if she even knew she had a wolf. If she even had communication with her wolf. All at once, she turned to look away and when she did, I looked at the doctor who grabbed a syringe from the Aide standing next to her. The doctor started to inject a clear liquid into the line leading to her arm. After a moment, I gently started to lay her back down as one of the Aides helped by gently pulling on the sheet she was lying on. This allowed her feet to move back to a better position on the bed, without anyone having to touch her in my presence again. After I had her lying down, I let go of her as her eyes were still closed. I held onto the rail on the side of the bed. I wasn't sure what to think at that moment, but certainly had a lot going through my mind. 'No one touches Mate. She is our Mate. NO One Touches!' (Cash demanded for our Mate's safety.) 'No one is going to touch our Mate, Cash. The doctor put a sleeping agen
