MILES

Kara didn't move.

She barely flinched. I ushered her into her adjoining bathroom and sat her down on the toilet so I could clean and disinfect her slit palm. Beads of blood trickled down the length of her fingers, leaving a trail behind her as she stalked the halls. When the alcohol-infused disinfected met the open wound, she didn't even twitch in acknowledgment. All she did was glare at the wrist I held cuffed in my grasp on the way up to her room.
