LEYLA'S POV:-
Once Kurt was gone, I went towards the house. The guard nodded his head at me. I walked towards him. "Did you bring the money?" The guard asked me in an excited tone. I nodded my head as I opened my purse and pulled an envelope out of my purse.
"Here you go. As promised. Sixty grand. Now, are you sure everything is under control?" Because once I get in, you can't get me out until I am done." I asked him in a curious tone. He opened the envelope and started counting the money. He nodded his head as he heard my question.
"Yes! It's fine and I have turned off all the cameras until you are done. Nobody will come back until two days later. There is something they are preparing to bring here after two days. Just go inside and get done with everything." He replied to me in a confident tone that made me roll my eyes at his non serious behavior. As he was done talking, I frowned in confusion.
"What do you mean? What are they preparing for? I'll give you ten grand more if you tell me everything they are planning." I asked him in an excited tone and he smirked, looking at me from head to toe.
"You sure look like a princess. You are a rich kid, I know that. But why so enthusiastic for a bunch of garbage inside this house? What is it that makes you so excited about this place?" He asked me in a curious tone while staring at me.
"What you called a bunch of garbage, it's a hidden world itself. You can never understand the knowledge, the power and the realities this house has hidden inside it. Now tell me what you mean?" I replied to him in an annoyed tone then asked him the same question again.
"I don't know much about it. I just know that they left the house for two days. They said they will come back by noon sharp two days later. They are preparing something in some labs. And only four people are entrusted with this place. I will be on duty for six hours. My duty will end till dawn." He replied and I thought about everything.
"Okay then, I will come again once they are done. Make sure to keep the place cleared for me. I won't visit tomorrow. I am going in." I said and before he would have opened his mouth to argue, I walked into the house. As soon as I stepped into the house, I saw that the walls of the house were filled with notes, drawings, geometrical shapes, mathematical equations and magical spell circles.
I gasped loudly. It felt like I had stepped into another dimension. "Incredible. I have never seen anything like this in my whole life." I spoke to myself as I walked further and further inside the house. It took me almost ten minutes to survey the whole house. And by the time I was back at the front door, I ran my fingers through my hair.
"This looks like it is going to take an eternity for me to read every single wall." I spoke to myself and arched my neck. I growled in annoyance as I looked at the ceiling. Even the ceilings were filled with notations. And I had no idea where to begin. Because the language in those notes, it looked like English but it looked roman. Roman for an unknown language I could not understand at all.
"How in hell I will understand what it all says?" I said while looking around. Just then, I remembered that I had my phone with me. I smirked as I pulled my phone out. I knew it was no use to try to understand what was on those walls in such a short time. But if I could take pictures, I knew I could easily solve the mysteries hidden inside those walls without a threat of getting caught.
I turned my camera on and started taking pictures. As every single wall was filled with whatever she had left in that house, it was taking time to cover. It took me ten minutes to just cover a wall. The house had three bedrooms, one lounge, one drawing room, one living room, one study room and five bathrooms. And even bathroom walls were filled with notations.
I carefully took the pictures of every single section she had created on the walls. I sighed as I took the picture of the last section. I looked at the time and sighed. It took me almost four hours to finish taking pictures of all the walls. I checked every single picture, just to make sure that I had gotten everything I needed. Once done, I stuffed my phone back inside my purse and stepped out of the house.
"Took you long enough. I almost thought that you might have gotten bored and fallen asleep. I was about to come inside and check up on you. Good thing you came out. My duty hours will be over soon. I have to clean up the place so there are no traces of you inside. And then I can turn on the cameras." The guard spoke with a smirk on his face and I rolled my eyes.
"No need. Look, I am wearing gloves and I covered my shoes too. If you want to check, you can to make sure that I didn't mess up. But I did my job pretty well. Now I am going. I will see you soon, Ian. Let me know when the coast is clear." I replied to him in a confident tone. Ne chuckled then nodded his head. With that, I walked away. I was walking down toward the road. I suddenly started to feel like I was being watched. I turned around to look at my surroundings. What I was doing, it was a dangerous game. And I knew I had to be cautious if I wanted to stay in one piece by the end.
"Hello! Is anyone here?" I asked loudly but no one answered. The street was too quiet to be real. I knew there was definitely something wrong with that place. I started walking fast towards the road. The faster I walked the stronger instincts of being followed I had gotten. I turned left to step out of that street and I screamed loudly.
"Woah woah! Hey, Sugarplum. What are you doing here?" The voice itself brought comfort to me. I sighed in relief as I wrapped my arms around him and buried my face in the crock of his neck.
"Oh, Kurt. I have never been this happy ever in my life." I whispered in a shaky voice. He was rubbing my back to calm me down.
"What are you doing here? Why do you look like you were trying to run away from someone?" He asked me in a worried tone. I broke the hug and narrowed my head. I was rubbing the back of my neck, nervously.
"I was working. I told you. I had something important to do. I just got free. But why are you here?" I replied to him in a nervous tone then asked him the same question he asked me.
"I told you about the sister of my friend, she was last seen in this area. We were trying to look. But we have not found anything by now." He replied to me in a low tone and I gasped.
LEYLA'S POV:-He looked tired. His eyes were red. His hair was messy. His lips were dry. I could almost imagine how exhausted he might be. "Oh, Kurt. I am so sorry. Let's get out of here. Let me take you home. You look exhausted." I cupped his face with both of my hands then spoke in a worried tone. He sighed and forced a small smile on his face. He pulled his phone out and dialled a number. He waited until the phone was answered."Hey, man! Found anything?" He asked on the phone and waited for the response. He sighed in a disappointed way after a minute."Yeah, I think so too. It's about to dawn in a while. We need to head home. Let's rest for a few hours then start looking for her again in the morning." He spoke in a disappointed tone. He listened to whoever he was talking to on the phone. Then he hung up. He grabbed my hand then pulled me away. We w
KURT'S POV:-I opened my eyes in the morning and found Leyla's body almost wrapped around me protectively. She was snoring softly. I chuckled softly as I saw her beautiful face in the morning. I pecked her forehead lovingly then freed myself from her tight grip. I walked towards the bathroom and took a shower. Once I was done with the shower, I wrapped a towel around my waist and stepped out of the bathroom. I went towards the bed and sat down on the edge of the bed. I leaned over and let the droplets of water fall on her beautiful face. She frowned twice then slowly opened her eyes. She gasped as she found me so close to her. I was staring into her eyes. She gulped hard while looking at my almost naked body. "I need to go. That's why I had to wake you up." I said in a guilty tone after a few minutes of silence. Seeing my face, she chuckled. She sat up on the bed, staring
LEYLA'S POV:-"Lucifer, huh! Weird. Do you know where Alina is now? I mean, I have heard that she was taken away by the police then she was sent to a psychological help center. Do you have any idea where she could have been?" I asked her in a curious tone while scratching my chin. I was so hopeful that I could meet Alina. For me, I thought she was the only one who could help me find the truth hidden behind the walls I could not touch. And Alina was my last hope to figure out all the answers I had been looking for.Hearing my question, the maid sighed in a disappointed way then shook her hand. "I am so sorry, Leyla. We know nothing about what happened to her. Even her family has no idea where she was taken." She replied to me in a disappointed way and my smile also fell. I was really hoping to see Alina to find out what she had figured out. Her story was almost like mine. A
LEYLA'S POV:-"So, Miss Summers. Tell me, what brought you here? Because I have never received a curious guest in years to visit my house. What brought you here?" He asked me in a curious tone while looking at me from head to toe. He was suspicious about me for some reason."Please, call me Leyla. I am here to ask you about Alina. Where is she? I need to meet her." I replied to him in a calmed tone. Hearing my words, his facial expressions changed. From curious to anger. I gulped hard as I was not expecting him to be angry just because I asked about his girlfriend."And you are what, another journalist or something? Who wants to show her ugly face to the world?" He roared at me as he stood up from the couch he was on and towered over me. As for me, I was so scared of him that I almost felt my heart would jump out of my chest.
LEYLA'S POV:-"But this is near to impossible. How come she and I had the same kind of accident, with the same van and that too in the same year? And after that, the same incident happened to us both. I just don't get it." I asked Ali in a confused tone while scratching my chin lightly while thinking about everything.Ali stood up and went towards the wall in front of us. He grabbed the shelf with decorative items on it and moved it. The shelf opened like a door and behind that door was a secret hidden room. I also stood up and followed him behind. As it was the only thing I could think of doing. He went towards the shelves where all the books were set. The books looked very old and ancient. He went towards the shelves where the books with black covers were. He chose one book and pulled it out. He opened the book and w
LEYLA'S POV:-"See! I was right. These diaries were meant for you. Now it's up to you to find answers. And something tells me that you don't have much time to figure it out." Ali spoke in an enthusiastic tone while looking at me. As for me, I was adjusting myself. That spark was not just knowledge. It was pure energy. Like the spiritual energies I had inside me. I was shocked because I felt strong. Actually, I felt stronger than ever. I turned my head towards Ali and frowned in confusion."What do you mean? Why am I out of time?" I asked him in a confused tone. He sighed and walked towards me. He wrapped an arm around my shoulders and pulled me out of that secret room. He pulled me towards his living room. There was a big window in his living room. He pulled me towards the living room and pointed his finger towards the sky.
LEYLA'S POV:-"I have heard a lot about you, Leyla Summers. There are ghosts all over the city who talk about your bravery and acts of kindness. My name is Jenaveve. And we welcome you to our cemetery to help you." Ghost of a beautiful woman spoke as she walked towards me from behind. She invited me in and we all walked further into the cemetery. We walked in the middle of the woods. Then I sat down on the grass, all the ghosts surrounded me."Tell me, Leyla, how can we help you?" Jenaveve asked me in a calmed and polite tone. I looked at their faces as I needed to start with some points. But I was not sure where I should start from."Let me start from the beginning. I was not always like this. I was born like a normal human being. But then, an accident happened. And that changed my life. Something that happened to Alina, the teacher. She
LEYLA'S POV:-"Woah woah woah!!! Hold on a second. You saw my car parked in front of the cemetery? Where did you see my car?" I almost yelled at him and that made him jump. He growled in anger and grabbed my hand. He pulled me out of the cemetery and I gasped loudly. My car was literally parked in front of the gate of the cemetery. I was staring at my car as if I was looking at a monster or something."Okay, I literally parked my car far away from the cemetery gates. How in actual hell did it get here?" After a few minutes of silence, I finally managed to speak. Hearing my surprised tone, Kurt scratched his head."That's how I felt when I saw your car in front of the cemetery. You literally called me and asked me to come and get you from the house I dropped you at the other night. But I saw your car here. So I came here instead. Whe
