Leander stared at his phone for a longer moment, trying to memorize the words he was going to tell Teagan. After almost an hour of staring at his phone, he summoned his courage and dialed Teagan's number before he changed his mind.

It rang more than five times before the call was disconnected without anyone picking it. He tried once again but no one picked the call. He dialed the third time and same thing.
