Tormented
She suddenly felt a blow in her stomach. There was not much energy left in her but she managed to lift her gaze and looked directly into his eyes. His right leg was pressing hard against her stomach and it ached terribly but she still stared at him, her eyes glowering with an anger that was mixed pain which was quite visible as her body quivered. He raised his brows and she could see him faltering as he raised his legs from her stomach and placed it back on the floor.
She clenched her stomach immediately by bringing her tied hands close to her stomach and let out a whimper as it panged hard inside. She saw him retreating back and leaving the room.

The incessant ringing of the phone woke up Anya. She tried to make it go away by pressing her ears hard against the pillow but it didn't seem to work. She waited for the phone to stop ringing as she thought Ronan would eventually pick it up. After a few more rings, she groaned and slowly pulled her blanket down and squinted through her eyes. The bed was empty. She jolted up as some part of her reflex kicked in probably because the sensory perception of women to sense danger was really high.
