Andrea's pov

They stood there, hand in hand, under the watchful gaze of the morning sun. There was a bittersweet comfort in knowing that their feelings were reciprocated, even if they couldn't act upon them.

"I don't want things to be awkward between us," Andrea said softly, her voice filled with a mix of vulnerability and determination. "We have to find a way to move forward and maintain our duties."

Jax nodded, his grip on her hand tightening. "You're right," he replied. "We can't let this affect our responsibilities. We have a duty to our packs, our mates, and the Moon Goddess."

Andrea sighed, her heart heavy with the weight of their predicament. "I understand," she said. "But it doesn't make it any easier."

Jax gently caressed her cheek with his free hand, his touch sending a shiver down her spine. "I know," he whispered. "Believe me, I wish things were different. But we have to be strong."
