Chapter Twenty-Five

The afternoon was drawing late, I knew sunset would be soon, but being back at the place I once called home brought back a feeling of nostalgia.

The house before me looked exactly as I remembered it, the peach paint on the walls was peeling and the white bannisters looked like they had seen better days, but when I looked on at the building, all I saw were the happy memories.

Continuing on my path, I made my way to a familiar place, a place between the trees filled with love and wild daisies. I perched myself on the rock I used to spend hours on, it seemed smaller than before and a tad less comfortable, but the peace remained.

“Got space for one more?”

I gasped when I saw the man standing beyond the treeline, the sun caught his ginger hair making it glitter.

“Depends who’s asking.” I turned away from him, my lips setting into a tight line.

“Jas… Your Jas.” Jasper’s whisper made a shiver run down my spine and my fists balled at my sides.

I am not confused, I can follow what is happening but it doesn’t have a good flow making it very annoying but I am still intrigued for what is to come.
