A few weeks later, Helianthus’s moods were feeling better. She was happy again and more active.

She could keep up with her children and her husband, too. During this time, she and Koda secretly got married with her parents and Kane as witnesses and the twins, too.

Everything was all well until Koda let it slip that he got married and now, Helianthus needed to meet the family.

She dressed up in shorts and a shirt and made sure the kids were neat.

Koda arrived from work, cleaned up and got dressed, and they were off to meet the family.

Stopping outside the gate, Koda turned to her and asked, “Are you nervous?”

Helianthus nodded her head as she exhaled and answered, “A little.”

Koda placed his hand on her thigh and said, “Remember, they will not bite.”

Helianthus forced a smile and nodded her head. “Sure, I will remember that.”
