Cael slammed the book across Orion’s face.
Orion’s eyes widened as the pain shot through his face all the way to the back of his head and neck and made his ears ring. Hissing, he shook his head and growled, “What the fuck, Cael? Why would you do that to me?”
Cael saw Orion’s furious eyes and looked away. He threw the manual on the bed and asked, “Didn’t you just say I should smack him across the face?”
“Yes, the guy that you like, not me!” Orion growled at him and grabbed his pants off the hanger and stalked out of the room furiously.
Cael sat down on the bed with his head hanging as he thought, ‘You are so dense.’
Orion bit down on his molars as he tried not to lose it. He could not attack his child and why in the world would he ruin such a happy day? They were about to go out and celebrate, but now what?
