Chapter 39: Rain

It has been four days since Brax and Aaron left for the Alpha meeting, as if the weather knows the trouble in my heart, it has rained almost nonstop since the night they left. Our pack is on higher ground, so the rain although annoying hasn’t caused any flooding. However, some of the roads that lead outside of the pack on the outskirts of our territory have flooded and I have heard that a few other packs have had some roads wash out. Thankfully it sounds like no one has lost their home or lives in all this mess.

I am trudging up the front steps of the house from coming home from working my volunteer shift at the hospital.
