Chapter 121. Nemesis

Gabriel held Eva's right hand while she was on a blood transfusion. Eva was still in her unconscious state after giving out her blood to save Gabriel's life. Gabriel was worried about Eva, although the doctor said she was stable.

"Alpha?" Gabriel turned his back to see Bryan. He came closer than kneeling on his side.

"Cody needs you. He was so scared to see his mom." Gabriel sighed, then nodded understandingly.

"I will talk to Cody later. In the meantime, would you watch him? Or, maybe you can call, uhm," Gabriel paused while thinking of someone he wanted to mention. He closed his eyes to remember.

"Do you mean Emmy?" Bryan tried to guess.

"Yes, her! But make sure none would follow her here. We have to stay low because the war is still out there," Gabriel said with a low tone. He nodded again to Bryan, who stood off and left the room. Doctor Edgar was still there to evaluate and take care of Eva. He glanced at Gabriel and then stared at him.
