Chapter 14. Red String Attached

“Eve, what is happening?” asked Emmy as soon as she approached Eva, who was lying in the clinic. Emmy received a call from one of Eva's co-workers, who took her to the hospital. Eva fainted and had shortness of breath.

“I don't know what happened to me. Suddenly I felt hard to breathe," answered Eva, her face still pale. She is much better and can sit, even though she still has to lean back. The doctor gave her IV fluids and medication.

“Maybe you're too tired, Eva. Have you spoken to the doctor?" Eva shook her head.

Not long after, a doctor came and smiled at Eva and Emmy. He brought the patient record to have a little discussion with Eva.

“How do you feel, Miss Alexander? Are you still dizzy and hard to breathe?” asked the doctor. Eva smiled, then shook her head. The doctor also wrote down something while she answered.

“I'm much better, Doctor. Thank You." The doctor nodded.
