"I'll go with you", Poppy had offered to go with Diya.

"Thank you Poppy but I'll need you to stay here with your mate and with my mom so she doesn't feel lonely".

"But-".

"My mom has two daughter-in-laws, they can't both be gone at the same time", Calihan said firmly.

"Fine", she pouted.

"Come here sweetie, let's go and arrange the cellar", Grand Luna called Poppy, trying to distract her.

Calihan sighed and carried Diya back to the bedroom. They got back in bed with her in his arms. There was a pen in her hand and a book in front of her on the bed. Calihan squeezed his mate's waist with one hand and used the other to draw patterns on her thigh.

He waited patiently for her to write.

Diya opened her mouth to talk but Calihan beat her to it. "I wonder how he knows you're here".

Diya sighed in distress and he kissed her forehead in reassurance. "Everything is fine, Diya".
