Thirty minutes!
Thirty fucking minutes since he's been pacing in front of the ward where Natalie was kept and still they wouldn't let him see her or tell him how she was doing.
"Dad, is mommy gonna be alright?"
A muscle twitched beneath his eyes as he stared at his daughter and gave her a grim smile.
"Your mom will be fine, don't worry."
He hoped to heaven that Natalie and his baby should be fine else he wasn't sure what he would do to Ed. It was his fault this has happened. If he hadn't craved juicy gossip from his family then he wouldn't have invited Sophie.
The door opened and the doctor stepped out. Dante walked up to him immediately.
"Doctor Jones, how are they?"
"Come with me to my office, Mr. Rodrigo."
Dante's body tensed as he followed the doctor to his office piled with stacks of files his favorite wigs.
"Take a seat, Dante."
"Is Natalie alright?" Dante asked. He was worried and didn't feel like seating
Natalie was more than happy to be home. She had never liked hospitals and now that she was home, she was convinced that her baby was safe. She had been worried sick ever since she saw the blood. Her raging hormones and her mood swings coupled with her huge appetite had convinced her that something was wrong but she hadn't known what. She had just convinced herself to wait till after the wedding before going to see a doctor but she had gone to a hospital all because of stupid Ed and Sophie."Are you alright, my love?"She was instantly reminded of Dante who was holding her and placing his hand on her waist, her grandfather didn't want to intrude so he had gone to a hotel."I'm fine, Dante," she replied beaming at him."Then let's get you inside. The kids are waiting and it's getting cold out here," he replied. She nodded and stepped inside, they were all gathered in the sitting room. Chloe saw her first and raced towards her before she
Dante stepped out of the boutique with Natalie, his hands secured firmly around her waist."I'm glad we're done with the invitation cards," Natalie said.Dante nodded. He was glad the shopping was over because it hadn't been easy for him. He had no idea why he needed a new tuxedo when he had a lot of new ones he hasn't worn yet."Yeah and the shopping too," he added.Natalie chuckled. "I knew you were tired of the shopping."Dante shrugged. "Don't blame me. Shopping Is for ladies, not me.""You're preaching to the choir, Mister," Natalie chuckled rolling her eyes.Dante chuckled. Trish and Dario were behind Chloe and Noah who were trying to convince them to get ice cream."Mommy!" Chloe exclaimed after a while.Natalie stopped and stared at the kids behind."What is it, darling?""You promised us ice cream and we're leaving already..."His phone rang and he excused himself heading away from them. He saw the numb
Natalie stood up from the couch the moment Dante entered the sitting room. His eyes were bloodshot and he was panting heavily, his hands were bloody and his shirt was ripped open.He didn't look like the man who had left the house earlier, he looked like a different person."Dante?" She called giving him a questioning look before coming towards him.He stepped out of her way immediately walking towards the stairs."Dante?" She called again reaching out for him."Don't. Touch. Me!"Her mouth hanging open in shock, her eyes wide with fright as her hand hanged in the air. He had never spoken to her in that tone before and he didn't glance at her either. His eyes were focused on the staircase."Xavier!"She shuddered at the sound of his voice."Don't yell like that you're gonna wake the kids up," Natalie said quietly."Don't you dare tell me what I can do and what I can't do," Dante snapped at her.Xavie
Dante drove out of the house, his heart bleeding from anger as he tried to suppress the pain he was feeling deep in his heart. He didn't want to think about the reality that had hit him so hard in the face he felt paralyzed with fear. They should have told him at least rather than lying to his face. Everyone knew about it even Sophie and possibly Jared but nobody thought it wise to tell him.He couldn't believe that Natalie could hide such a fact away from him. He drove till he got to the beach and then he stopped. His heart ached but he wouldn't give in to the pain."Dante?"He whirled around at the sound of Sophie's voice behind him. He groaned when he saw Sophie standing in front of him looking concerned."What do you want?" He snapped. He had agreed to get her out of jail doesn't mean she could stalk him."I just had to know how you're doing," she replied, "Everyone lied to you even when you deserved to know the truth so I kn
Natalie woke up with a start as she glanced around the room shivering. It was cold and the windows were open, she stood up to shut the blinds when she noticed it was snowing heavily outside and yet Dante or Dario wasn't back.Wiping off a stray tear, she headed back to bed pulling her stockings to keep her feet from freezing off when her bedroom door was pulled open and Dante came inside smiling."Hey, beautiful. I didn't know you were up already.""Hmmph!" She huffed. He set the tray he was carrying on the bed and came towards her looking sober."I'm sorry, love," he smoothed her hair and pulled her close to himself inhaling her scent trying to rid him of Sophie's horrible memory."Let me go, Dante," she grumbled."Never," he muttered in her hair."When did you get home?" She asked finally."About an hour ago," he replied, "I watched you sleep, and then I decided to make you a hot chocolate as a peace offering because you were s
"Omg!""Deep breath, Natalie," Trish whispered as she patted her hair softly."I can't believe I'll be getting married in two days!" Natalie exclaimed. She was sitting in front of her vanity mirror while Trish applied her makeup and dressed her up. They were going Christmas shopping today but they had decided to start practicing how she would walk down the aisle."Are you sure you wanna get married to Dante?" Trish asked.Natalie took a deep breath and smiled. "It's all I've ever wanted so I'm sure."Trish clapped her hands smiling happily. "I'm so glad now let's do a little marching."Natalie stood up and took Trish's outstretched hands then she began to walk in her long heels."Walking with heels is it alright during pregnancy?" Trish asked.Natalie frowned. "I'm not gonna let you guys ruin my day!"Trish chuckled. "We're all looking out for you."Natalie laughed too. "Well, I'm not an invalid.""Glad you're n
They were still trying to decide which Christmas tree was the best especially since they were going to get a lot of presents today when Natalie's phone rang. She was startled at who was calling her in the middle of her shopping with her family. She was surprised when she saw her grandfather's number displayed on her screen."Grandpa?" She answered immediately."Hey there Princess, I'm on my way to your house," he said.Natalie frowned. "Grandpa?"He sighed. "Alright, I'm with Sean and he has something to tell us.""What? No, I don't," she heard her father's whispering voice in the background."Yes, he does. Don't listen to him, Natalie," he chuckled."Grandpa, we aren't even home," Natalie said softly, "You could go do some bonding till we get back because we're gonna be gone for a while."The line went dead immediately and Natalie sighed. She didn't want to deal with them now especially since she's just convinced everyone to sta
Ricco paced up and down as he picked up the bags he was supposed to go with when his phone rang. He was surprised to see Natalie's number displayed on the screen."Hey, Nat," he said."Ricco, where are you?"He frowned. Why did her voice sound panicked? "I'm getting something together, I have to give it to your grandpa.""Can you not go to see him today, it's kinda urgent," she said."What is the matter, Nat?" He asked curiously."It's Trish."That single name sent his blood into a frenzy as he stared at his phone and then placed it back on his ears."Trish? What happened to her?" He finally asked. Her words didn't sound too clear in his ears after a while because he couldn't believe them. There was no way in hell that she could have been through such a gruesome ordeal."I don't know but I saw how you looked at Trish and I decided you were the best person to call because you care about her," Natalie continued."Damn r
