Sixty-One

Lisa paced up and down in the sitting room shouting orders at the scurrying maids while her children—Ava and Daniel for Noah-weren't back yet—sat down on the sofa all dressed up. 

She was with her phone and kept dialing the number displayed on her screen repeatedly cursing in low tones as to while the call wasn't being answered.

She glanced at the beautiful silver clock hanging on the mantelpiece and sighed. She will have to go herself.

"Be good kids, alright. I'll just be back in a second," she told them and they nodded.

She grabbed her car keys and headed towards the familiar road driving at full speed while glancing at her clock. She was having a hard time believing that he wouldn't pick her calls today or all day.
