Chapter Twelve

We sat down and ordered some coffee for ourselves. Once the waiter left Claudia looked at me playing with Emily

"You're good with her," Claudia said

"I had cousins that were younger than her that I had to watch. I also had to work for this one guy who lost his wife while she gave birth so I had to look after the baby that was only 2 days old," I said

"That's rough losing one's mother," she said

"Yeah, it is," I said and looked down at Emily before asking, "Where are Emily and the twin's mother?"

"She left. After Emily was born she had a mental breakdown and Alex got her into a mental institute but the third day there she broke out and we never heard of her again," Claudia said

"How long?" I asked

"Emily is only three months old so two and a half months ago. The twins only act out and go far with their pranks because they miss her," she said

"And you guys?" I asked

"You mean Alex?" She asked with a smile and I shook my head

"He was never in love with her but yeah we miss
