The warm water falling from the shower feels soothing on my flawless cream color skin. After the hunt, we return to the Palace and he let me go back into my room. I feel much better after having that meal, although it is a puzzle when I look at myself in the mirror and see how flat my stomach is after having a big meal. I've finished my shower and realized how my skin become more healthy and vibrant than the last time I remember.
Prince Vincent advised me to get some more rest and he said it was better if I get back to sleep after the shower. My heart races just thinking about him and the hunt we did together. When I remember how his body looked after we shifted back to human form, without anything on but just our skin. His skin and muscles, and his beautiful male body are engraved in my mind.
He told me to call him on the mind link whenever I need something urgent however, everything seems to be fine for now.
* Prince Vincent *It was a very agonizing night, to be with my mate, and yet I could not do more than just hold her hand and keep her close next to me. When she fall back into sleep and the pain she felt subsided I left her and called the pack doctor to take care of her and tend to her needs. I should have stayed and kept her from getting sick again however I must remember that I have a duty in the pack to fulfill."Good morning your majesty."The greetings coming from Beta Derek reminded me of the task at hand today."Did Xander already woke up?"I look around and saw him on a bench in the corner, sitting erect with his eyes glued on the spar between the warriors of the pack. Beta Derek didn't have to give me an answer."He came early, even before the warriors are here your majesty."I push aside the matter with Ashley in my mind and de
* Ashley *"Hello! Miss Snipes, what can I get you for breakfast?"I look at her wondering why she is still around, I just came out of the bathroom and finished taking a shower. She came in last night together with the pack doctor after Prince Vincent left. I have noticed her preparing everything I need. I tried to remember her name, but it took a few seconds before I remember her saying that it was Riza Williams. This is the second time she is taking care of me."Hello, Riza! I don't think I need breakfast right now. Thank you but I feel full."I turned away from her and look for something to wear."How about coffee or tea Miss Snipes?""Tea will be better."I feel refreshed this morning, with no sign of fever or any pain from the incident last night. The memory of Prince Vincent laying down with me in
* Prince Vincent *After the spar and the warrior practice were over, I let Xander go and be taken care of by the pack doctor in his room. His bruises are not severe however it needs to be taken care of since he is still unable to heal himself. His ability to shift will come at the age of sixteen or eighteen years old. When that day comes he can then take over as the Alpha of the West.As I sit on a chair in the archive waiting for the old man to come. I have something important to discuss with him. He needs to tell me if he can see Ashley's future with me, now that she has changed into a wolf. I am certain that our fate might have changed. There's a chance that we can be separated or get married quickly and I want to find out if I will become the Alpha King one day, replacing the rule of my father. I took a deep breath and remember the last conversation I
* Prince Vincent *One bottle of whiskey and another in half, before the sun goes down if I am human I would have gone beaten up. However, my mind is still clear. There is one person that I needed to talk to, perhaps I need the alcohol to keep me strong enough and handle the situation like a man. For male wolves like us, alcohol does not make us too drunk for action. It only numbs the feeling that I have suffered long enough."Father, I need to have a word with you if you have time."I said to him in the mind link. However, I didn't get an answer that quick. So I lean my back against the chair and waited prepared to call him again in case he didn't answer."Join us for dinner Vincent, your mother and I will wait for you on the balcony of my room."His words are sure and I can feel him being glad for whatever reason. My father must be happy that Carmela is with him every day. It m
* Ashley *The night was over but he didn't come, and that made me a little disappointed. I woke up to the sound of someone knocking on my door. When I opened my eyes, I could hear the voice of the woman named Riza calling my name to wake me and she succeeded. The thought of how disappointed I was last night is showing on my face."Yes! I'm coming!"I shouted back at her and get myself out of the huge and comfy bed before she yells out my name even louder. I could not remember at what time I have fallen asleep but I remember how my heart aches when he did not come. My foolish heart waited expecting to see his face before I sleep.I am counting my footsteps as I get to the door and turn the knob open."Good morning Miss Snipes, I apologize to have bothered you from your rest but today will be very busy for you so we have to start early."Her face is full of glee and a warm smile is playing on her lips as she excitedly reveals what is behind her. I rub my eyes as four people behind her
* Prince Vincent *It's been forty-eight hours since the last time I saw her because I got occupied with the wedding preparations that we have to finish as much as possible. But today it has finally arrived, I almost thought that it would be difficult to convince her but Carmela did the job very well. I don't know how she helped her go through with the quick wedding arrangements but somehow I am truly grateful that finally, our wedding vows will be realized."I assume you are excited."The voice coming from behind me made me turn my head towards its owner. Then I meet eye to eye with my father who stands just a few feet away from me, standing with Carmela beside him. His tailored navy suit compliments the pale blue silk gown that she is wearing, her eyes meet mine and she gives me a warm smile."I didn't think that it would be this exhilarating."My upper lip twisted in irony then I scan my eyes around the huge palace hall and look at the wolves witnessing our ceremony. The Alphas of
* Ashley *This beautiful palace filled with flowers where I walk like a Princess and swore an oath to be the wife of a Prince seems to only exist in every woman's dreams. When the ceremony is over, I could feel the envious eyes coming from the she-wolves of the pack all over me. While they came forward and greeted us, each one of them leave the Prince a hungry stare. He belongs to me now and I to him. There is no doubt that he is the most handsome man in the Langston Palace. The warriors of the pack paid their respect to him while sending me their greetings, the women, on the other hand, smiled at me coldly. It's not like I care about what their opinions towards me, what's more important is the family. The Langston family, I belonged to them now."Congratulations sweetie! You look so gorgeous tonight, I am happy for you my daughter."My mother smiles with a genuine happiness reflecting on her face. She give me a tight embrace while Vincent watch with fondness hidden in his blank expr
* Ashley *We have been dancing for hours yet my body does not want to let go, I love the feel of his strong arms wrap around me like steel yet it doesn't hurt. As we both sway into the dancing tune of the music playing in the air I can feel my spirits lifted high. My heart is beating so fast and my skin feels hot. The butterflies in my stomach are moving around and giving me the feeling of overjoy flowing throughout my veins. The happiest day of my life for as long as I could remember."Forgive me Ash, you must be tired now as we have been dancing for hours."He lowered his head beside my ear and whispered softly, with his breathing tickling the tiny hairs in my neck. I wanted to tell him that it is alright I am enjoying our dance and I don't feel tired but I thought maybe he is the one who is exhausted by leading the dance and holding me."We can take a break, it must be tiring to dance with someone who can't sway to the music on his own."He chuckles as I intend to add humor into m
