Chapter 7. My First Fight

*Prince Vincent*

It started in just the blink of an eye, the huge beast in front of me did the first move. His body advanced forward and came towards me with his sharp claws and canines longer than a normal blade, he is making a vicious attack.

The group of rogues howled in triumph when the beast gets a hold of me, they must have thought that the fight will be over soon. They have underestimated my strength, thinking that we have already lost. And right there I knew that the enemy thought I am weak and would easily get defeated.

I felt his teeth sank deep in the skin below my neck, excruciatingly painful but I have to endure. However, the bite is not far enough to give me too much harm for I have taken a step backwards and managed to save myself from a dangerous situation to save my own life.

I yanked away and broke free from his hold, trying to ignore a long inch of flesh being torn apart from my neck and the blood that quickly trickle down into the ground. The road is quickly tainted with red and the air is filled with the scent of that liquid, my blood that comes from my father.

"Prince Vincent!"

The hysterical voice of Beta Derek echoed loudly inside our open mind link. I know he is on the verge of losing faith in me that is why I have to act fast. It opened a good opportunity for me when the leader of the rogues got distracted from the noise of his pack, he's too delighted to earn the first bite.

So I opened my sharp claws and move forward, then locked them both in each side of his face together in a fast and easy move, with a brutal force that my claws sank deeply behind his ears peeling off the fur skin in his snout and keeping his bloody mouth tightly shut that I could hear his teeth grazing with each other.

"Ugh..!"

The sound from his throat couldn't come out, he is terribly hurt but I am not yet done. He is about to suffer with so much pain that it would not take long before he beg for his life. I feel the blood dripping below my neck, tainting the ground once more and the cry of the wolves which surrounded our pack started to erupt.

"Yes Prince Vincent! Don't let him go no matter what, you are doing well your majesty!"

Now the voice of Beta Derek behind me is filled with hope, my warriors howled in order to persuade me to fight. The situation has quickly changed, we have now taken the upper hand.

I put an additional force into my claws and began to sharply tear one of his eyes away from his face. Again the sound of his cry came out as a hopeless gurgle when he realized that he can no longer see on the other side of his face.

His legs shook and tremble then tried fighting back but it only remained as a hopeless attempt, for I am using all my strength. He slowly dropped to the ground but I hold on to him and injured him once more, by breaking his sharp teeth and nearly crushing his wolf face.

I can feel his life getting thinner in each passing second and his heartbeat fading while he groans in pain. A loud howling of the wolves around us interrupted the fight.

"Hey! Son of the Alpha King! We believe you have to let go of our leader if you don't want your friend to get hurt!"

That voice interrupted our fight, it sounded desperate and challenging. A Friend? My thoughts recalled the faces of my friends before my head turned back to normal. The voices of Beta Derek and the warriors of the Royal pack buzz inside my ears.

"Oh no! Alex is in trouble, he is taken by our enemy."

"Alex is taken,Prince Vincent. You have to save him.”

Beta Derek confirmed the sight of his bloody form being held in a rope that ties both of his hands and feet. Without hesitation I dropped the leader of the rogues to the ground, his almost lifeless body began to move slowly.

"Stay right where you are rogue!"

My fur turned back into the skin of a human being and the wound below my neck started to heal fast, I have the ability to heal faster than other wolves and that's something which a normal wolf cannot do.

His weak body stopped the slow attempt to move and I redirect my eyes into the wolves that's holding Alex captive. It seems that the bait have been planted in order to catch someone from my pack. Alex lowered his head to the ground, his face and body badly beaten, unlike me it would take a few days for my friend to recover from this kind of wounds.

"Let my friend go rogues or I will end your leader's life! You have no right to order me! Get your hands off from my friend!"

My arms tremble when I struggle to keep my anger for myself, I must think fast or else Alex's life will be put in a grave danger.

"Please, you-r majes-ty...don't mind me and kill their damned leader."

It was a lot to take in when I see my friend choking and bleeding being hurt by the enemies. A loud growl escape my throat, and without a doubt I made the quickest move possible. Jumping to the side of the rogue leader and stomping my right foot exactly on his head, breaking his skull and splattering his brains out all over the place. I just ended his life!

"NOOOO!!!

The rogues holding the ropes which ties into Alex's body is shivering and shouting, while they cry in shock for their leaders lifeless body. I made the fastest move to release Alex from the hands of both his abductor.

"Alex, are you alright!?"

The two rogues did not even get the chance to blink an eye when I past at them and grab both their throat with my sharp claws, rendering them lifeless into the ground.

"Get them! They are getting away!"

A rogue who noticed what happened to us shouts and it started the real battle between the rogues and the Royal pack warriors. Beta Derek and the rest is fueled with victory, my very own victory when I killed the leader of our enemy.

But no one dared to fight with me anymore, fear and anguish is mirrored in their wolf’s eyes.

"No, please! Some of us are not ready to die yet. We only joined this pack in order to survive."

I was about to go back into fighting after making sure that Alex just passed out from the bruises and wounds he took and his breathing is back to being normal. But when I heard the plea of the other rogues, I halted.

"Stop!"

The wolves from the Royal pack stilled and waited for my next words.

"Now, for all of those wolves who wants to admit defeat and is willing to come in peace as prisoners of the Royal pack warriors. Kneel! I am giving you this one last chance to save your worthless lives!"

After that, suddenly the road is filled with silence, the wolves turned to me and the loud beating of their hearts is echoing in my sensitive hearing. Most of them wanted to just give up, now that their best-like leader is dead.

"I, I admit defeat!"

The rogue in front of me began to lower his knees to the ground, one by one they shifted and followed the first one who lowered his head and kneeled in front of me. Then I heard the slow footsteps of Beta Derek approaching beside me.

"That is a good decision your majesty, now instead of spilling blood we will just take more prisoners back in the Palace and let the Alpha King decide on their fate."

I never thought that it would turned out like this, however I am glad that my friends and the warriors are alright. Other than me and Alex, there were no other wolf from the Palace who suffered from the war. I hope this will make my father happy.
