V4.1 ( Manor) POV Suddenly V6 appears in human form dressed as a servant walking fast from the side entrance. " My apologies, My Lord but Manor's presents have just been requested." V6 says in a very fancy voice as he bows. Damn, I didn't know Whiskers could be this fancy. " Then by all means please go ahead. " Terrius bowed as he gestured to me. " Please excuse me." The sound of the trumpets announcing the arrival of Hikaru and Shinigami (V7) sounds throughout the throne room. I bow goodbye to Terrius before quickly following V6 out of the room. We stop at a desolated hallway which V6 checked carefully before speaking. " It's horrible news! !!" " What is it? What did you find out?" " V7 caught a Version Slayer going by the name Bankotsu when he was saving the villagers from the catacombs! Who knows what horrible plots he has that involve that!!" " Did he say where's he's headed after this?" " His quest isn't complete yet since he needs to find a cure to uncu
Hikaru POV " Marvelous... Back to the matter at hand, I was hoping that we could set up our base of operations at my summer home which is by Ripponden Lake. Most of my equipment is there and my mother's library would prove to be more than helpful." Terrius offered. " Wonderful! We'll meet you at the palace entrance in three hours then. " I say with a grin as I wrap my arm around Kaen's shoulder. " Great! See you then!" Terrius says with a wave as he drags Manor along. I wave back to Terrius before turning back to Kaen. " Why 3 hours?" Kaen asked as he turned to me, his bang touching the tips of his right green eye and my heart couldn't help but leap at how cute he is. " Perhaps, I'm finally setting out to fulfill one of the aims I had when joining the High Council. " " Other goals?" Kaen tilts his head at me, his lips parting slightly with interest. " Travelling, trying foreign delicacies, having time to relax and enjoy myself, among many other things." I p
Hikaru POV " Let's go already!" Kaen excitedly says while seated in the driver seat next to Manor. All the luggage had already been loaded, leaving only me and Terrius the only beings, not on board. Me and Terrius, not wanting to delay any longer, immediately boarded. We sat behind the driver seat, behind Kaen and Manor next to the cages. " Coming back to my inquiries, do they have any weaknesses? Anything they aren't comfortable with?" Terrius pulled out a quill and parchment taking down notes. " Holy magic." Kaen enthusiastically answered with a raised hand. " What?! But it's that thing a human?!" Manor exclaimed. " That's an unholy amount of dark magic. No wonder they grew so many extra heads and limbs.....But that does bring us to the conclusion that Holy Magic is part of the cure.....But not even Holy purification is enough. ..and there's the risk of the subjects dying from being over-exposed to such godly powers. " Terrius theorized as he took down more n
Manor POV " Wait so ... In summary, breaking your train of thought doesn't actually cause you to blow up, but breaking your focus during an experiment might have a high chance of blowing up, but that's mainly because it's tedious work that must be done in a proper way or else it blows up. But even though the situation is like this, you'd rather not have anyone break your train of thought since it might cause you to forget an important point or question that might lead to a solution. Is that right?" I repeated our whole conversation in a quick summary, trying to see if I got it right. " In summary, yes that's right. " Terrius nodded. " Then just say you'll blow up when someone breaks your train of thought! It's the same thing! " I exclaimed with a grand gesture and restarted the argument. " No, it isn't! I don't actually burst into flames when it happens!" Terrius reminded as he gestured to himself bursting with his hands. " But you get furious and start scolding. W
Terrius POV " What happened to you? You looked like you had seen a ghost. " I asked as I stood in front of him, trying to understand what changed his mood, so suddenly. Just a minute ago he was running around cheering like a kid and now he was moving around like a zombie. " That would have been better. .... Much better. ..." He answered as he walked past me down the hallway. What the hell was that? Did he see something in the cursed mother's eyes? Well, whatever it is must have scared the life out of him. I better keep an eye on him, who knows what effects that might have. I thought as I followed after him. Manor returned to helping Kaen and Hikaru unload everything and move them to the lab. The whole time, I helped out, I kept an eye on Manor, who seemed to be distracted by something. " There! That should be the last one!" Hikaru announced. " Finally. ....." I sigh as we all slumped down on the lab stools exhausted not really caring about the clutter. Then a grumbli
Kaen POV An annoying sensation rose, pulling me back from my lulling dream, as I felt the cruel punch of sunlight upon my face waking me from my slumber. Another morning and yet it feels different from the last. I thought as I got up a little dizzy trying to remember where I am while scanning the room. Desk and balcony to my left, bathroom in front of me and wardrobe, and exit to my right. Ah! Yes... Terrius summer home. The design is quite befitting his family's name even if the beds have a creepy valance. I better head down, that cure won't find itself. I stretched like a cat before getting ready for another long day. I headed downstairs but no one was around. Maybe they are still sleeping? What time is it anyway? I wandered around the foyer finding an old grandfather clock covered in dust that hadn't been winded for quite some time. God this place is so dusty! I held my nose trying to keep myself from sneezing. One of the downfalls of being a beast. I sigh as I once again c
Hikaru POV "... Why do I feel like we're parents?" I asked as I finished my breakfast. " *Scoffs* If there are kids then they're yours. I don't recall having such brats as my kids and if they were my kids they would be more sophisticated and not annoying. " " There's no way that would happen. " " What do you know about the future?!" More than you can ever imagine. " Come on, let's go get that sample before they start their nonsense again. " Terrius says as he heads down to the lab, I follow closely behind him. The lab was filled with unfinished inventions and was quite dark. It felt more like a dungeon or a torture room with the caged villager in here. I shiver, recalling the time I was tested by Terrius in one of our past timelines. That's something I never want to repeat. .... ever again. Pity the villagers. .... but this is something that can't be helped. Terrius may be a cruel man but he's the only one that can help them. I thought as I stare at the only cursed m
Hikaru POV " You guys did well. With this, I might be able to start running test cures." Terrius praises as he flips through the notes. " The help and trust of my man were what pulled us through!* Laughs*." They both said at the same time as they hook each other's arms around each other's necks. Terrius found it creepy that they both said and did the same thing but knowing that Kaen is imitating V4.1, it made sense. Terrius just shook his head before continuing to go through Kaen's notes while Kaen and Manor wolfed down dinner like there's no tomorrow. They must have used up a lot of energy and magic. They wolfed down 6 helpings of lunch in under 10 minutes as well. I recalled as I continued placing another serving in front of them, knowing that they would ask any minute. Terrius, on the other hand, skipped lunch and right now he's more interested in reading than eating. " Terrius you should eat something first." I advised. " He won't eat anything that's Terrific
