I say casually as I watched the fountain in a daze, wondering how this was so magical that night but so boring right now.

" Maybe this is a sign that you shouldn't be together. I mean, she's a mermaid, she belongs with her own kind away from bloodshed and worries. She wouldn't be able to take it."
