Chapter 33 - Donna
Mason sits on his bed in the hotel with his back resting against the headboard as he stares at his laptop on his lap. His eyes linger on the CCTV picture and the mark on his mate’s beautiful neck. That jerk has marked his mate.
It has been a couple days since he has found his mate, but instead of joy, his blood boils and anger pulses through his veins. His mate has been taken from him and he didn’t have a chance to fight for her.
His mind can’t stop asking how could this have happened and why she would do that, but deep down, he isn’t sure he really wants to know. However, this explains why his wolf is drawn to his mate’s scent, but at the same time the pull isn’t really there.
His mate is already marked by someone else.

Well, I have talked with the doctor, and he isn’t much help. He has reviewed my test results again and says that there wasn’t anything off in any of them. His best suggestion is to go back to my room and rest. Maybe in the morning, my throat won’t be so dry.
