Alpha Marcus
“WHAT!?!” I slam my hand down on the desk. I don’t know how this has happened, but I need to get that pack back. They are vital to my push to get their neighboring packs to line with me. Not to mention that they have a lucrative wholesale business, which includes a nice import/export branch.
I want that pack!
I glare at Beta Malcolm.
Through gritted teeth, I hiss, “They were ready to sign at the gathering. Why did they back out? Or do you know?”
Beta Malcolm calmly stares back at me. “They didn’t really say. What they did say is that they now have a conflict that they won’t be able to sign our alliance agreement. I didn’t push the issue either.”
What a freaking idiot. Why didn’t he push the matter? I need to know their reasons so I can counter them. If I don’
Tammy POVUgh… I feel like I got ran over by a freight train.I don’t think there is one part of my body that doesn’t hurt. I have been beaten many times before, but this time I think it is the worse. But why am I alive? When I was closing my eyes, I thought the Moon Goddess had finally granted me my wish, which is to leave this horrible life and world. I guess I was wrong.I slowly open my eyes.Everything is white, with a constant beeping sound in the background. I slowly turn my head, trying to take in anything that will be able to tell me where I am.“OH MY! TAMMY!! YOU’RE AWAKE!!”I try to quickly turn my head towards the voice, but my sore muscles won’t let me move that fast. When I slowly turn my head, I’m met by a cute girl with dark brown hair and a button nose, who is both happy, but also very worried.
Wyatt POVI look across my desk at the Supreme Elder, who is sitting calmly in front of my desk. This is one of the few times she and I can be alone and talk a little more in detail about things. I really want to pick her brain, because she often holds so much back. I also know she can tell us everything. The downside is if she does, things often change and don’t actually happen the way she has seen them.I don’t want to waste any of our time, and I immediately go straight to the point. “So, what is actually going to happen? Or should I say, what should I be cautious of?”The Supreme Elder slowly shakes her head. “Alpha Wyatt, you know I can’t tell you that much information. The closest information I can give you is buried in my riddles. The Moon Goddess doesn’t like for me to give the information directly to you.”Ugh. I kn
Bridget POV“What did you say?” I look across the desk at Wyatt. I can’t believe what he is telling me. He thinks I can find these people with only those vague clues. I don’t even know what those riddles are supposed to mean, let alone how I’m going to use it to find them.Yes, the Supreme Elder has been working with me to try and improve my ability to see all werewolves. However, it is going along very slowly, and when I mean very slowly, I mean that is going along at a snail's pace. I still don’t have a clue about what I’m doing. How am I going to find these people if I can’t use my ability?Wyatt sighs and looks at me. “I said for us to try and find the one girl who can hide. The Supreme Elder said she is a wolf in disguise. I’m thinking that is code for she can hide well or something like that.”I
Is this the place? I look at the small white house with black shutters while I recall the image from my mate’s mind. Yep.I’m still amazed that Bridget was able to do this on her first attempt. It did take some time, but looking at it as a whole, it really didn’t take her too long. She didn’t know what she was doing, but she could still concentrate and find someone.Truthfully, I believe this person is the one the Supreme Elder was talking about being a pawn, but others think he is a bishop. However, she won’t confirm anything until we bring the individual back.Wyatt chimes, “This is it. I just wish I had a name to go with the face. What am I going to say if he doesn’t answer the door? Hello, I’m looking for someone who can appear not to be a beta….”Katelyn shakes her head. “No, but I’m sure we will think of somethin
A smile instantly appears on Katelyn’s face, along with her deep dimples. “Most of us have some sort of ability, similar to your ability to make people think you are an alpha when you are actually a beta. I’m fortunate enough to be able to heal people.”Scott’s eyes suddenly pop wide open while he listens to our Luna.Wyatt chimes, “One of my abilities is to see what abilities other werewolves possess. You don’t even have to tell us, and I already know you can disguise your second gender.”Scott’s eyes slowly drift towards Wyatt. However, he doesn’t say anything. My mate adds, “Once you are accepted into the pack and go through the ceremony, you will gain the same ability as everyone else in the pack. You will be able to read people’s minds, both human and werewolf.”I quickly bite my lip, trying to keep myself from laughing as Scott&rs
Mason POVI walk in front of the trainees as I bark, “You have to be 100% prepared for the upcoming war. This isn’t the time for you to slack off. We should help the new trainees, too. They are at a clear disadvantage since they haven’t trained with us before. I’m not going to say that all of them are clueless about fighting, but some have never stepped foot on a training field before. So, not only focus on your training, but when needed, help the newbies so they can learn everything faster.”I glance around the field. Everyone appears to understand as they nod.I turn my focus back to the section where all the newbies are at, including Fiona. She had been missing our training session to sit and keep Tammy company, but now that Tammy is awake, Fiona has agreed to come out for a bit to begin learning how to fight again. All of this is new to her.Howe
Former Alpha Seth POV I march into the corporate building while saying hi to my employees as I walk past.Right now, I’m on a mission and I need to get into my office as soon as possible. I may have retired from being alpha of our pack, but when it comes to business, I’m at my peak, and I’m pretty ruthless when I need to be. At this moment, I’m in my ruthless mode.As I march towards the elevators, my secretary spots me and dashes to me. “Sir, I have put all the information you requested on your desk. I have also called in a couple of consultants to help you with this project.”Oh, I love the fact she has tried to help me, but on this project, I can’t have anyone I don’t trust, which means I will only deal with people from our pack. Plus, our pack has some hidden talents that I only call out from time to time, and this is one of those times.
I thought I had seen some strange things working with Eddie and King Enterprise, but that all pales in comparison to some of the things that I’ve seen here. I’m still trying to handle the fact that I can now read peoples’ mind, but the biggest shock is how some of these pack members were treated before they found their way here. Tammy is dealing with the worst treatment out of everyone. While I sit in a chair on the side of the hospital room, I glance over at Tammy, who is still lying in her bed. She can get up some and try to move around in the room. However, she isn’t allowed to venture any farther than that. Her legs are damaged pretty badly, and they are healing slowly, which I don’t understand. She is a werewolf, so why is it taking so long for her to heal. I’m not going to even talk about how messed up she is mentally.Luckily, she is in a large room, since we have decided t
