Chapter 10: The Day Before The Gala

Kassandra’s POV: 

Me and Emma woke up early to the sound of knocking on the door. 

I got up angrily since we have work in about an hour and someone is banging on our door. 

I open the door fuming and see Lucien with a smile on his face and food in his hand but when he sees my face his smile falters. He then asks me “What's wrong?”  i look at him and say “ I have work soon and shouldn’t be awake.” His smile comes back and he says that he forgot to tell me that me and Emma are off for the next week with pay. I looked at him shocked just as Emma walked in and I looked at her and asked if she knew. She says she saw the text when she woke up. I look at Lucien and smile now knowing that I am off we go to the kitchen and he hands us the food we sit down
