Maya stood up from the ground and helped Davis stand up as well while Victor helped Ethan, carrying him in his arms.

" Ethan, what were you doing? " He asked his son and Ethan stared at Maya first before looking back at Victor.

" After you left, mummy said we should follow you and listen to what you were going to say to grandma. I followed her because I wanted to know if grandma will forgive you or not. She said I should not tell you because you will get angry at us, " he confessed and Victor raised his head to look at Maya who was sneering at his son.

" That sly pup, he would prefer to betray me just to get on his father's good side, " she muttered audibly, making sure that Ethan couldn't hear her.

" What about you, Davis? " Carissa chipped in and Victor turned to face Davis who raised his hands in defense.

" I never had thoughts of
