Chapter 18

When I wake up, I hear a commotion downstairs. I look over and see Lilly still sleeping. I gently get out of bed and grab some shorts and a shirt and hurry downstairs. I see a group of people in the entrance, some of them I recognize but they don't recognize me. Thinking I am the Alpha, they all bow to me. I quickly scan the crowd when I see her. She looks the same just grown up.

"Ayliah." A skinny pale woman stares back at me and nods.

"Do I know you?"

"It's me. It's Mark. Do you remember me?"

"Mark? My brother's name was Mark. He's been dead for 5 years."

I get closer to her hoping my scent would refresh her memory and it does. Her eyes instantly tear up and she throws her arms around me. I pick her up and swing her around.

"Oh my goddess, Mark! I thought you were dead. Alpha Gregory said you were. You never came back for me." She says, tears streaming down her face.

"I thought he had killed you. I heard you scream and then it was cut off. Im so sorry. I should have come back.
