Rains' P.O.V. While practicing my magic with my mom and Jess, Sam comes rushing in, saying there has been an attack and that we should get to the suite immediately. We don't argue with him as we get up and head for the castle with Sam in front of us and the guards following behind us. "Where is the attack at? Was it on the coven witches?" I ask Sam. "It's at the border of the Kingdom territory, the witches and our warriors are holding their own, and the King and more warriors are on their way there as we speak." He answers as we enter the castle and go up the stairs to our suite. "Thank you for being honest with me," I say as we get to our floor. I suddenly feel something wrong when I look at our suite door and realize the guards are gone. Only thinking of Odett, I make a run for the door. Sam tries to stop me, but I slip past him quickly and open the door. As I enter our suite, I'm in shock to see a crazed-looking Ashley standing
Rains' P.O.V. After getting to the hospital, I'm led to a large exam room where the eleven injured warriors are on hospital beds. Then seeing me enter the room, the doctor walks up to me, bows, and greets me with a smile. "Who needs healing first, Doctor?" I ask him, and he points out the warriors with the worst injuries. I turn to my mother and ask if she has any healers that can help. She nods before leaving to find where the witches from the coven had been asked to stay until everything was over. A few minutes later, she returns with a young lady about twenty years old with long brown hair, brown eyes, and caramel skin. She introduces her as Lady Nina. "It's nice to meet you, Lady Nina. Could you assist my mother and me in healing our warriors?" I ask her. "Of course, my Queen." She answers with a smile. "Thank you. The doctor here will show you which ones need healing first." I say before turning my attention to the first warrior. Abo
"Go on back to the suite. Getting the witches settled in will take a while." Zion tells me, and I shake my head. "No way, I'm coming with you. These witches are my people too. If I can help them and put their minds at ease, I will do whatever it takes." I say with determination. "Very well, my Queen." He says while smiling as he walks me out of the room we were in. As we walk down the hall to the hospital entrance, we meet up with my mom and Lady Nina. Once outside, I see so many scared faces, and feel their sadness. I step up to speak first, feeling the need to calm them, as my mother and Zion step forward and stand on either side of me to show support. "I know some of you have questions, I understand that most of you are scared, and I know some may be hurt by the things that have happened and then having to leave your homes. I, daughter of Lady Ezmerelda, head witch of the Silver Nyx Coven, and my mate King Zion of the Southern Werewolf Kingdom are here to help and protect y
After we left the cliff, I helped Rain back into the Jeep, and we made our way back to the castle. When we arrived, I turned to look at Rain and realized she was asleep. I then linked Orian to check on Odett and see if she could stay with them for the rest of the night. He told me that Jessica and Odett were already asleep, so it was okay for her to stay. I got out and walked around the Jeep to get Rain out, and she looked so peaceful that I didn't want to wake her up, so I carried her back to our suite. Waking up this morning to an empty bed, I know how Rain feels when she wakes up after I've left. I sit up, hearing the water running in the bathroom turn on. "Why don't we join our Queen?" Ryker asks, and I grin, knowing exactly what he is thinking. I get up and walk to the bathroom. I crack the door and peek in, seeing my beautiful mate naked in the shower washing her long red hair, and I'm instantly hard. I quietly enter the bathroom, undressing with every step I take. I wa
After about an hour of walking around the orphanage, we talk with Ms.Blanch about everything and anything she may need for her staff, the orphanage, and the kids. We call for Odett, who ran off to play with a few kids on the playground. Ms.Blanch, Jess, and I discuss adding more staff when we realize it is just her and two other ladies taking care of forty-seven kids. Zion asks Jess if she would be willing to take on the challenge of overseeing all business pertaining to the renovations of the orphanage. Overwhelmed by her excitement, Jess agrees to it before he can finish his question, making us all laugh. We say goodbye to Ms.Blanch and the kids and head toward the apartments where the coven witches are currently staying. We walk into the lobby, and I find the notebook. I looked inside and found everything already checked off the list, and I'm overjoyed at their efficiency. "They really do have everything handled," I say as I laugh while feeling relieved. "Of course, m
Zions' P.O.V. After looking at all the decorations and preparations for the ceremonies, Rain and I decided to go and check on Rain and Stephanie, and then we decided to go for our first run. The closer we got to the trails, the more nervous Rain got. I finally decided it would be best to stop her from walking for a minute to calm her down by grabbing her wrist and bringing her to a halt. "What's wrong, my love?" I ask her. "I'm nervous about shifting," She answers while staring at the ground. "Don't be nervous. I'll be with you the whole time." I say while rubbing circles on the back of her hand, calming her with the mate bond. She takes a deep breath before she nods, and we start walking again. When we make it to the trail we are taking, I look over at Rain expecting to see a ball of nerves. But instead, she looks me in the eyes. All I can see is her determination and excitement. I remember how when she first arrived, she was so shy and quiet, an
Rain's P.O.V. Zion surprised me with an extremely romantic night at what he's now calling our cliff, where we can overlook our kingdom. We spent all night together in bed on our cliff, drinking champagne, eating fresh strawberries, and talking about our future. We talked about how I'm starting to feel more confident in myself and more comfortable with my title as Queen of the Southern Werewolf Kingdom and my future title of the Southern Witch Queen. Eventually, the sun began to rise, and we had to return to the castle before the guest started to arrive. I had promised to meet Jess at the orphanage to go over some plans for the renovation, and Zion had a few things to handle in his office and prepare for the arrival of the Super Natural Council. So we shift back to our wolfs and make our way home. As we ran through the woods, I began to feel an overwhelming sense of pride and joy. Dosha is my beautiful, fast, and graceful wolf, and Ryker is our perfect
Zions' P.O.V. After running around with Odett on Rykers back, I walked into the tent where Orian had placed clean clothes to change into, getting dressed quickly. I meet up with Rain, Odett, and Orian, deciding to walk Rain and Odett to the orphanage before I have to come back and check on all the preparations for the matting ceremony later today and meet the guest that will start to arrive in a few hours. I place Odett on my shoulders, making her giggle, and take Rains' hand in mine, and we make our way toward the orphanage. About halfway there, Orian and I get a link that Alpha Max, the future Alpha Ian, and their Lunas have arrived ahead of schedule. I quickly link Orian so he knows not to mention their names. I don't want her worrying about them right now. I call over the guards to escort the Queen and Odett to the orphanage and to stay with them until they return to the castle. Then I place Odett down on the ground and tell them I have to gree
