Chapter 92

Ken’s POV

“psst” the moment I heard that sound my eyes flung open like it was rebooted by it. I sat up from where I was laid and when I heard it again, I was certain that it belonged to Christine. I moved more closely to the door. As far as my chain could take me and when my wrist began to sting again, I had to stop.

“Christine” I called out, keeping my voice as low as possible to prevent being heard.

“I got the keys” she announce and my heart leaped for joy. But I couldn’t see to understand she was able to get em

“How did you…” she didn’t me finish before cutting me shut.

“We don’t have the time for this” she said and I kept shut.

It didn’t take long before I heard the sound of keys jiggling. I felt anxious because I knew for a fact that if she was caught, it was going to be the end for her.

It took a while, but the huge door blocking me freedom clicked as the key rotated inside of it. I knew it was too fast, but I could already smell my freedom from where I was.
