I let go of the backdoor, barely flinching as it closed with a bang, when I walked out to the backyard, only to hear Mason talking about Nathan having killed his parents. The sound had both Melody and Mason turning in my direction, with Mason shooting up on his feet when he saw me.

"Alpha." He said, bowing when the shock of his words wore off and I began walking towards them.

"You're back early." Melody tried to diffuse the situation, but I was interested in what Mason had said.

"I wanted to check up on you, but guess what I walked in on instead?" I said, looking at Mason, whose head was bowed.

"Draven." Melody warned, trying to stop me from meddling, but my curiosity had already gotten the better of me.

"Mason, do you trust your alpha?" I asked, settling on the cushioned bench and pointing at the space beside me.

"I do." He sat down without any question, looking at Melody for help.
