Zoey POV
I stared at Xander while he sat in front of me with his hands folded together. I was trying to comprehend his words but somehow nothing made sense apart from the fact that he wanted me. I was like a high school girl for a few seconds where I was internally screaming how it is almost impossible. He was flawless in every aspect while I was just so normal.
As the words slipped in my head, I noticed his eyes had bags at this moment and he looked tired as if he hasn’t slept for days. There was something strange about him this time, he looked as if he had not been taking care of himself and I internally scoffed at my thoughts.
How can I be so sure? Maybe he was busy with his work and that’s why he couldn’t sleep. However, all this reasoning was set aside in my head while I tried to soothe the ache in my chest which arose the moment, I realized he is not taking care of himself.
