My sudden appearance in the company was a forest fire, creating juicy rumors that I was one of his women, something Blake’s cousins enjoyed listening to because of their bet. But with about Bree, the news spread like wildfire. It was not afternoon yet, just an hour after we left the childcare center, and yet, the whole world seemed to know about us. I was quiet for a while, staring at Blake, who seemed not to mind Matthew’s message about the social media craze over the bachelor and strikingly gorgeous billionaire with a daughter.

I could take the gossip if it were about me, but not Bree. Stella, Ben, and my siblings called asking about the threads in the social media and the news, and they all expressed their worries about Bree and me.
