She found it difficult to believe that someone who had been so cold and unfriendly to her the entire time could become so kind and sweet now.

"How come your parents never told you about us?" Tobin inquired, breaking the comfortable silence.

Serena raised an eyebrow questioningly.

"I mean, it's okay if you don't want to talk about it, But I thought that they were pretty cool and they must've known something because they never told me either."

Maxi shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly.

"To be honest, my parents didn't know that we existed until a couple years ago." She explained.

"When I was ten, they died and left me their house in Ambracia."

Tobin's eyes widened slightly in shock at the news.

"Wow, I'm sorry to hear that. But I'm glad to know that you're able to live here now." He said softly.

She smiled slightly and nodded.

"Thanks. My life here is pretty great though." She admitted.

Sergio grinned back.

"Well, I'm glad to know that you're happy." He replied sincerely.
