“Congratulations Mr. Mount, I heard that your wife is expecting another child.” Aiden’s obnoxious voice rang across the corridor. I’d been on my way to the accounting department, to discuss the increase of my employees' salary when Aiden popped out of nowhere and dropped a piece of information I did not need my employees to know.

“Congratulations, sir.” My secretary, Samantha, and just like that, every employee on that floor followed suit. All congratulated me as if it was the determinant of whether they would be paid their wages at the end of the month or not.
