Chapter One Hundred and Twenty Four

Ayva’s POV

I was restless.

It’d been almost two hours since the party ended. I kept tossing around the bed, trying to find the right position to fall asleep, but I couldn’t find it. I glanced at the little wall clock for the time. It was just a few minutes past 4 AM. I couldn’t tell if the reason I was finding it difficult to fall asleep was because of the grunts and moans coming from the cabin next to ours or if it was because the queen-sized bed felt too big for me alone.

Justin was in the living room on the couch. He’d refuse to share the bed with me because he’d made a promise not to touch me and ‘he didn’t want to be tempted.’ I’d scoffed when he said that because that was my intention. I wanted to tempt him and get him to do the deeds with me. I tried to make him understand that I was fine now but he wasn’t fully convinced. His words were,

“I might hurt you again. And I’m afraid of that.” His voice had sounded so raw and filled with guilt that I knew then that there was nothing
