Chapter Sixteen

Justin’s POV

The sound of the crash reverberated through the phone, filling me with a sense of dread and fear. My desperate yells and screams went unanswered by Ayva, leaving me even more shaken. My hands, damp with sweat, trembled as they gripped the steering wheel tightly. Despite knowing her location, it felt like she was miles away from me. Ignoring the speed limits, I pressed down on the accelerator, consumed by a whirlwind of terrible thoughts. My heart pounded in my chest, and a tightness gripped my throat as the fear of the unknown consumed me.

As I approached the spot on the map where it indicated that her car was, I could sense that something had gone terribly wrong.
